Reporting burst pipe to authorities a waste

Image result for family and burst pipe
A CHASE Valley father and son embraced the brighter side of a messy situation when a burst pipe flooded the edge outside their home on Saturday.
The flooding in Silverdale Crescent was due to a technical issue at a construction site in the area.

Instead of complaining, local resident Russel Ferguson and his son Dale decided to have a bit of fun in the water.
Ferguson said he plunged into the water for a quick swim and his son brought out a fishing rod to try and catch a whale.

It is believed that the family resorted to this as reporting burst pipes to the municipality has always yielded no results for residents, leading to more clean water being wasted.
Ferguson said he took the opportunity to cool off from the heat, describing it as refreshing as the water was clean and fresh.

He said shortly after authorities were notified of the burst pipe, the problem was sorted out during the course of Saturday.
