Men who raped, kidnapped and robbed Uber passengers in court
The case against four men accused of raping, kidnapping and
robbing Uber passengers was postponed in the Randburg
Magistrate’s Court.
State prosecutor Dinesh Nandkissor told the court that one of
the accused’s legal representatives had withdrawn from the
case and had to be replaced with a legal aid lawyer.
The accused, one of whom is a former Uber driver, have been
linked to four cases where the driver’s passengers were raped,
robbed, or both, in 2016.
The four accused will remain in custody until their next court
appearance on 23 March.
