President Jacob Zuma says AU decision on Morocco difficult but neccesary

President Jacob Zuma has described the African Union's
decision on Morocco as difficult but necessary.

The continental body has taken a decision to accept
Morocco's
application for re-admission during the 28th ordinary summit of
heads of state in government in Ethiopia.

Morocco left the organisation in 1984. This is after the AU
recognized the independence of Western Sahara which
Morocco regards as part of its historic territory.

Morocco was the only country in Africa which was not
an AU member.
The motion was passed with the majority of 39
countries against 10.
