Four members of Richmond family including child killed

Four family members including a child were shot
dead in Ndaleni, Richmond, during the weekend.


Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele
confirmed yesterday that the four family members
were gunned down at their home on Saturday
evening.

Mbele said the family members had gathered and
were preparing for a family function, when the incident
happened.

She said seven family members, including three
children were in a rondavel at around 11.40 pm when
they heard two loud bangs on the door.

A woman from among the family members allegedly
hid under the bed as the door was flung open and the
gunmen opened fire, killing three men in the room and
an 11-year- old child.

Mbhele said police investigations were underway to
determine the cause of the incident and apprehend
the suspects.
