KwaZulu-Natal police have revealed that four
children at a facility for troubled boys in Pinetown have allegedly killed a
supervisor there.
Captain Nqobile Gwala said the
40-year-old man was a supervisor at the Excelsior Place of Safety.
Gwala said the body of the man was
found with multiple stab wounds on Monday, with the motive of the killing still unknown at this stage.
Pinetown police are investigating a
case of murder and following up on the suspects.
Excelsior Place of Safety is a
government organisation that accommodates boys aged 13 to 17.
The organisation runs a short-term residential
facility together with an intervention programme that is intended to help boys
awaiting trial.
