Firefighters and emergency services are facing a difficult battle to get the blaze under control.
The entire building in Rossburgh has been well alight for atleast the past 5 hours, with large orange flames are burning through the roof.
Groups of people are stopping at the side of the road to watch the flames whose smoke can be seen from as far as Umhlanga.
One person has sustained minor injuries to his hand and has been treated by paramedics, before being taken to hospital by Rescue Care paramedics.
It is not yet clear what sparked the blaze at this stage.
