Bus services across the country were expected
to return to normal on Tuesday morning after unions called off their strike in the
bus passenger sector at the weekend.
Drivers downed tools last week, calling for better pay and a review of weekend working hours, among other
things.
In KZN, a lot of commuters had to
make alternative arrangements after the work stoppage affected services in
Pietermaritzburg and Richards Bay.
Long-distance bus company,
Greyhound, said many of its travellers who had booked trips to visit family were left stranded before the long Easter weekend after the strike put the brakes
on all operations.
