On Monday morning, a supposed chemical leak at a factory on La Bassee Road, Germiston left numerous people injured.
ER24 paramedics, alongside several other emergency services, arrived on the scene and found between 50 and 100 people standing outside the factory.
According to Arrive Alive, the factory had evacuated the workers after a chemical leak.
Local authorities began to close off the road while emergency
services set up a triage area.
The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.
